Restrictions on UNIX Workstations

On all workstations :
- All user jobs cannot run longer than 3000 minutes. Those jobs exceed
the time limit will be killed. If user need to run his/her job over 3000
minutes, please contact Jason Chan.
On axps1, axps2, axps3 (4 CPUs on each) :
- If there are over 4 runing jobs on the server, user cannot run more
than 1 job on that server. The SECOND job will be killed without warning,
and an email will be sent to the user.
On public workstations (axp8-19,axp30-60) :
- Anytime user cannot run more than 1 job on that workstation. The second
job will be killed without warning, and an email will be sent to the user.
On lecturers' workstations (axp5-7,axp20-29) :
These workstations are located in the lecturers' offices, and the related
lecturer & his/her group of students have higher priority to use his/her
workstations.
Those users who DO NOT BELONG TO the research group of the related lecturer
of that workstation have below limitations:
- All submitted running jobs will be set to lower priority
- All large-memory jobs (exceed half of system memory) are not allowed
to run from 8:00am to 10:00pm everyday.
- All jobs violated the rule will be killed
