Pine --- Easy-to-use Email Program

To start pine : > pine

A directory "mail" will be created under your home directory. All out-sending mails will be made a copy in ~/mail/sent-mail, and the incoming mails will be saved in ~/mail/saved-messages.

After pine invoked, you can see sufficient self-explained text to tell you how to use it.

ELM --- Useful Email Program

To start elm : > elm

A directory "Mail" will be created under your home directory. the incoming mails will be saved in ~/Mail/inbox.

After elm invoked, you can see sufficient self-explained text to tell you how to use it. or you can press ? to get help.

mailx / Mail --- A Simple Email Program

To start mailx : > mailx

All mails after read will be save in a file "mbox" in your home directory.

After mailx invoked, press ? [Enter] to list all available commands.

Here are some important commands :

• exit : exit mailx, preserving all mails
• quit : exit mailx, preserving unread mails
• next : next page of headers
• mail someone : send a new mail to someone
• edit n : edit the n-th message
• reply : Reply current mail
• save n file : save n-th message to file
• delete n : delete n-th message
• undelete n : undelete -th message
