To start pine : > pine
A directory "mail" will be created under your home directory. All out-sending mails will be made a copy in ~/mail/sent-mail, and the incoming mails will be saved in ~/mail/saved-messages.
After pine invoked, you can see sufficient self-explained text to tell you how to use it.
To start elm : > elm
A directory "Mail" will be created under your home directory. the incoming mails will be saved in ~/Mail/inbox.
After elm invoked, you can see sufficient self-explained text to tell you how to use it. or you can press ? to get help.
To start mailx : > mailx
All mails after read will be save in a file "mbox" in your home directory.
After mailx invoked, press ? [Enter] to list all available commands.
Here are some important commands :
Automatically notify you when a new mail received : > newmail
Quick Listing Mailbox : > frm
Automatically notify you when a new mail received under X-window : > xbiff
To invoke netscape 3.0 : > netscape
To invoke lynx : > lynx
To invoke gopher : > gopher
To invoke tin : > tin
To invoke ph : > ph
