This summer internship program is for our students to work as teachers’ aides in secondary schools, so that they can gain invaluable experience in a teaching career.
If you are a PHY undergraduate in the year 2010-2011, you are eligible to apply. You should also have a good academic record and are interested in a teaching career. We look for motivated students who have a solid physics background, who are independent, creative, and get along well with students and teachers alike.
Successful applicants will be awarded a scholarship of about HK$8,000.

2. At the completion of the internship, each student has to give an oral report in an experience-sharing session.

Q: Can a participant still do a final-year project?
A: This is up to your potential final-year project supervisor. It is your responsibility to tell your potential supervisor that you plan to take up this internship. You may have to make a choice between this program and a final-year project.
Q: What is the training program about?
A: Participants will be asked to attend talks given by previous apprentices and experienced teachers, and to prepare course materials.
