Dear JUPAS Applicants,

When you read this letter on the CUHK physics department website, you are probably considering physics as a possible major in your JUPAS application this year. If so, CUHK is the place for you.  In this website, you will find out the strength of our Department and the quality of education that we provide to our undergraduates. Our rigorous curriculum, coupled with various student-centered learning opportunities that we developed in recent years and the flexible credit system at CUHK, provides a rigorous and thorough training to our undergraduates at a level comparable to any major research universities in the world. For those of you who plan to do research work in the future, our graduates have been admitted to PhD programmes in top graduate schools around the world. I am sure you will be impressed by what we can offer. I also want to take this opportunity to inform you that, becasuse of the increase of intake quota and thus the need to meet the various aspirations of our incoming students, we have revised our curriculum to incorporate three streams of concentration, namely, the Physics Stream, and the Enrichment Stream for Theoretical Physics. The latter one is particularly suitable for students who are interested in further studies. General information of our BSc programme can be found in our department website.

You are most welcome to contact us directly for further information about our curriculum, the learning opportunities that CUHK Physics Department provides, university life at CUHK, etc. Please feel free to send your enquiries to our JUPAS hotline at jupas@phy.cuhk.edu.hk, or contact any one of the following teaching staff of the Physics Department:

You may also contact us through the physics department general office at 2609-6154.

Sincerely,

H.Q.LIN
