Introduction
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) will jointly organize an international conference in Hong Kong on "Frontiers of Cold Atoms and Related Topics". The goal is to discuss the most exciting topics and the latest developments in the field of cold atoms. A number of important related topics will also be included. The conference will be a timely event, as there have been truly remarkable developments in practically all the subfields in this area in the last a few years. At the same time, there have been rapidly growing experimental and theoretical efforts in cold atoms research in Asia. We believe this conference will help facilitate communications and interactions between the new groups in Asia and the major groups in different continents.
At the banquet, we will celebrate the 60th birthday of Tin-Lun (Jason) Ho for his contributions in the field of cold atom physics.
The first three days (May 14-16) will be held at CUHK. HKUST will host the last day (May 17). The total number of registered participants is limited up to 130, due to the constrain of our venues. Depending on the number of applicants, selection of participants may be implemented after receiving the application. You are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
