Welcome to laboratory session. Up to now, there are 2 experimental projects available.

  1. Project 1 - Time Variation of count rate
  2. Project 2 - Site Survey with Global Positioning System

All experimental projects are decided for secondary school by asumming they have full set of equiments. Here is the check list :

  1. GPS antenna
  2. Circuit box
  3. Connectors and cables
  4. Computer with windows as OS, PCI-6602, NI-DAQ installed.
  5. Commercial software - WinOncore

The full data acquisition includes a computer with suitable hardware and software installed, a triggering circuit box connected to 3 detector, GPS antenna, power cable and SCSI interface cable to computer. Hardware includes PCI-6602 card. Software includes NI-DAQ driver. Full data acquisition set is a short hand notation to cover all appratus listed above. 

No prerequisite knowledge about astronomy, instrumentation, statistic is needed to handle the experiments. A Form 6-7 student with Physics background in Cert. level is appropriate. Even there may be some techniques mentioned in experiment page haven't be taught in high school, tutorials will be provided from first principle. We hope our materials can be self sufficient.
