General Information about Site Survey
The purpose of site survey is to tell us the position of the GPS antenna in the GPS
coordinates. This is important for us to get accurate timing from our timing
modules when they are running in position hold mode.
It is relatively easy to get a good survey result when there is a good view of the
sky. However, some of our GPS antennas have a poor view of sky and it might be
difficult for them to get a good survey result.
Usually, the survey results are good when the standard deviations (StdDev) are around
10 meters. Special efforts might be needed when the standard deviations are
too large.
